Olivia began drawing at the early age of 4 and it wasn’t long before she found her way into her father’s art studio and immediately became interested in creating from her heart. As a teenager, her artistic mediums ranged from painting to airbrush, interior design to photography, and even included live music performance and composition.
Her works range from pieces inspired by the hard lines and honest imagery of Mexico’s 20th century artists, to vulnerable viewpoints of her own life experiences of hearing loss and her connection with the deaf and hard of hearing community. A further exploration of how birds can represent different themes within one’s dreams round out the collection.
Olivia currently works full time for Texas Communication Services for the Deaf as Austin’s Hard of Hearing Specialist and enjoys freelance photography and painting as her newest forms of expression.
